Terms of Use

1. General provisions

1.1. These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern the relationship between the Mera team (the “Administration”, “we”) and the individual (the “User”) who uses the “Mera” mobile application and website (the “Service”).

1.2. Use of the Service constitutes the User’s full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms. If the User does not agree to the Terms, the User must discontinue use of the Service.

1.3. The Administration reserves the right to amend these Terms without prior notice. The current version is available on this page.

2. Description of the Service

2.1. Mera is a mobile application and web service for calorie counting and nutrition tracking that uses artificial-intelligence technologies.

2.2. The principal functions of the Service are:

• Maintaining a nutrition diary (manual entry, AI-based photo analysis, text descriptions).
• Calculating personalised calorie, protein, carbohydrate, and fat goals from profile data.
• Tracking body weight and its changes over time.
• Analytics: averages, deficit/surplus, projections toward the goal.
• An AI assistant for nutrition-related questions.
• Push notifications: reminders, reports, tips.
• Saving meals as templates together with their ingredients.

2.3. Some functions are available only while a paid subscription is active (AI photo analysis, AI text input, AI assistant, AI editing of entries).

3. Registration and account

3.1. To use the Service, the User must register an account by providing an email address and a password, or by signing in through Google or Apple.

3.2. The User undertakes to:

• Provide accurate information at registration.
• Keep the credentials used to access the account confidential.
• Notify the Administration without delay of any unauthorised access to the account.

3.3. The password must contain between 8 and 128 characters.

3.4. Email confirmation is performed by entering a six-digit code sent to the address provided.

3.5. The User may delete their account at any time. Deletion of the account results in the permanent erasure of all associated data.

4. Rules of use

4.1. The User undertakes not to use the Service:

• For purposes contrary to applicable law.
• To distribute malicious software.
• For mass automated requests, to overload the servers, or for any other activity that disrupts the operation of the Service.
• To upload images unrelated to food or nutrition.
• To transfer account access to third parties.

4.2. The Administration is entitled to restrict the User’s access to the Service in the event of any breach of these Terms.

5. AI features and limitations

5.1. The Service’s AI features (photo analysis, text input, assistant) provide approximate estimates and are informational in nature.

5.2. The Service is not a medical application. The information provided by the Service does not substitute for the advice of a physician, dietitian, or other medical professional.

5.3. Use of AI features is subject to daily limits that depend on the subscription plan.

5.4. The Administration bears no responsibility for the accuracy of AI-generated estimates of calorie content or macronutrient composition.

6. Subscription and payment

6.1. The detailed terms of payment, subscription, and recurring charges are set out in the Public Offer.

6.2. Subscription pricing:

• Pro Monthly: 299 ₽ per month.
• Pro Yearly: 2,490 ₽ per year.

6.3. Payment is processed through the YooKassa payment service using recurring charges.

6.4. The User may cancel the subscription at any time. Following cancellation, access to paid features is retained until the end of the paid period.

7. Intellectual property

7.1. All rights in the Service, including the source code, design, text, algorithms, and trade marks, belong to the Administration.

7.2. The User is granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.

7.3. Content created by the User (nutrition entries, profile data) remains the User’s property.

8. Limitation of liability

8.1. The Service is provided “as is”. The Administration does not warrant uninterrupted operation of the Service.

8.2. The Administration bears no liability for:

• Decisions made by the User on the basis of information provided by the Service.
• Health-related consequences of relying on AI recommendations.
• Temporary unavailability of the Service caused by technical reasons.
• The actions of third parties who have obtained access to the User’s account.

9. Feedback and support

9.1. The User may contact support through:

• The “Report a bug” or “Suggest an idea” feature in the application.

10. Governing law and disputes

10.1. These Terms are governed by applicable law.

10.2. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation between the parties. If the dispute cannot be resolved amicably, it shall be referred to a court of competent jurisdiction.

10.3. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
